Salt Lake Photo Shoot

I just got lightroom 2 and it was so easy to use. I really think I have a slight crush it may turn into true love we will see. These are some pictures I took at a Photo shoot in
Salt Lake.

Love/Hate

I am quickly developing a love/hate relationship with my new digital camera. I bought a Nikon D5000 and the camera it wonderful. It is me that has issues. So I bought a polarizing filter and a uv filter and am finding random blue things in my photos. I may be rethinking the filters. I just got the hang of the zone system and now trying to convert that knowledge to digital. I have been really busy this summer taking as many workshops as I can and joining photo groups, but it makes me realize how much I still need to learn. I am still a photoshop virgin and I have a bunch of photos I need to edit so I can send the models prints for their portfolios. I need to sign up for a class I don't think I can wait until the fall. I am still unsure which photo editing program to buy. GRRRRRR!
I am sure I will love it once I figure it all out.

Spring Break

I had the opportunity to go on a road trip with Travis (my teacher), Brandon (another teacher) and a group of photo students. We went to Monterey, San Fransisco and the Redwoods. It was so beautiful but we spent too much time in the car. I appreciate the invention of the airplane so much more now. We got to tour Edward Weston's place which was really neat. I love how simple his darkroom was I definitely need one at my house.
